Note
1. These houses will be allotted for a period of 05 years only. Therefore, at the end of 05 years from the date of residence, the residence should be vacated and returned to the Department. (Officers who have enjoyed the privilege of residing in railway houses located in one workplace for more than half of the period permitted in the Establishments Code are ineligible to be considered for the same accommodation located in the same place for a period of five years from the date of completion of the period of residence in the first house.)
2. Draw your attention to Chapter XIX of the Establishments Code, which considers violation of the terms and conditions mentioned therein to be an offence. Further, if you are allotted a house, if you leave the government service for any reason such as retirement within the period permitted of residence, being released for the service of a corporation, etc., if you are transferred to another place, or if you have a house property in the name of your wife/husband or children within 1 mile of your current place of work. If acquired later, you are ineligible to live in a government railway house, so as soon as you are not fit for such reasons, it should be informed to the head of the department and the residence of the house should be vacated and the house should be handed back to the department
3. If you are ineligible to reside in the house for any other reason before the expiry of the stipulated period, then inform the head of the department at that time and vacate the house and return it.
4. The railway house will be repaired depending on the amount of money that can be spent only for the stipulated period and repairs will not be carried out whenever the occupants change.
5. The railway house is reserved only for your wife/husband, children and dependents. In addition, keeping other persons in the house for frequent residence without permission, by-leasing the entire house or part thereof, or is considered a serious offence. Violation of these conditions shall be deemed to be a punishable offence referred to in paragraph 07.
6. If any of the above fails to vacate the house after due time, action will be taken against you in terms of paragraph 1 of Chapter XIX of the Establishments Code...
